MISSION

Our bodies were made to move!

Fortunately for us, our bodies are extremely adaptive and resilient!

I found my passion in helping others achieve optimal wellness so they can live and feel their best and never have to stop doing the things they love. As a result, everyone can have the opportunity to experience all life has to offer!

I love empowering my clients through education. My ultimate goal is to provide each client with the knowledge and resources that they can take control of their own health outcomes. After working with me, you will be a better mover, have less pain, will know how to mitigate injury, and feel overall empowered & strong!

ABOUT THE OWNER

Hola, Im Jen! I feel so much gratitude knowing that someone brought you to my page! I couldn’t be more excited to meet you and guide you in your journey towards a better life! I am passionate about all things health, movement, and longevity!

I am originally from NoVA, where I graduated as a double duke from James Madison University. After University, I began my career as an Adjunct Professor and full-time Personal Trainer at one of my local gyms. It was in these two jobs that I quickly learned how our movement potential was the foundation to reaching our fullest potential.

I relocated to Arizona in 2018 for the sunshine and outdoor lifestyle and ended up attending Phoenix College to attain my license in Massage Therapy. I now specialize in pain management, injury prevention, and optimizing performance through my unique integration of manual therapy & many years in the health and fitness industry.

I bring extensive knowledge with my Masters in Exercise Science & Nutrition and 10+ years working in the fitness industry. I am research driven and value lifelong learning to ensure I always provide the best practices to my clients. My goal is to help as many people feel and move better so they can effortlessly eliminate chronic disease, get rid of the need for pain pills and surgeries all by simply living an active fulfilled lifestyle!

A LITTLE ABOUT ME OUTSIDE THE STUDIO:

  • Anything outdoors with my GSD pup, Ava!

  • On the weekend, you can find me hiking or camping :)

  • Doing hard things: Love getting out of my comfort zone, especially with other badass people!

  • Coffee shops & a good book.

  • All things self-development: there is something about being able to share my knowledge as much as possible to help empower and heal others. I believe each and every one of us has the ability to heal themselves, sometimes they just need guidance.

  • Movement: weightlifting, kettlebell flows, animal flow, dancing

  • Brining community together! Once a month I plan a community health event to bring like-minded individuals together to connect & grow!

  • Wanderer: I love to travel & learn about other cultures and customs. Next year I plan to go to Italy & Thailand.

  • Music: reggaeton, country, classic rock, hip hop, reggae, lo-fi, salsa

FAQs

What should I wear?

Males: Exercise shorts & t-shirt.

Females: Exercise shorts and a sports bra or bathing suit top (preferably one with the least amount of straps in the back to be able to access the most tissue or tank top that is easy to maneuver).

Is cupping an additional fee?

No! I include all the techniques and tools I use in the price. I don’t believe in up-charging for tools or pressure like many other therapists; I believe in providing the best results for my clients independent of what I use to help bring you results :)

How often should I come in?

Depends on the issue:

If dealing with a chronic issue, I typically will recommend 1x/week until we see tissue change, then move to every 2 or 3 weeks until we reach our goals! Throughout our sessions, I provide mobility homework for you to do between sessions. This will help tissue correction as well as helping to allow more time in between sessions.

If the goal is recovery or maintenance, typically every 2-3 weeks will help to improve performance and mitigate injury.

Everyone’s body & situation is different, so this can vary.

What session durations do you offer?

Sessions vary from 45 min to 2 hours depending on the goal! Shorter sessions might be directed toward just mobility work or spot specific treatment. Longer sessions are preferred for those experiencing pain or want a mix of massage and mobility, or massage and stretch therapy. After the initial assessment, I will be able to provide you with better idea of which would work best for you.

Do you accept HSA?

Yes!

What does the first session entail?

Your 1st session is 90 min and includes: postural assessment, passive and active movement assessments, thorough medical history, goal setting + treatment time. Ask about the first time client discount!

Do you offer memberships or packages?

I believe memberships are often created by businesses just for your reoccurring revenue and not for the best interest of the client. I know when I was “stuck” in a membership it was always difficult to get out of. That is not my goal, my goal is to get you better. I do offer 8 & 10 session packages (either 60 or 90 min sessions) which helps you save a little on each session if you decide you want to establish a plan of care. These are to be used within one calendar year of purchase so if you only use 4 sessions out of 10 for your treatment, you still have 6 you can use for maintenance work! I can assure you they will never go to waste =)
